The Stylist

Lindsey is a life-long Peninsula resident and joined Barry’s for hair in 1999 as an apprentice. She now has a devoted client base and is very knowledgeable about hair coloring and highlighting. She is talented in the art of the short haircut. Hairshows and classes are important to her because they allow her to share trends and new ideas with her clients.

Lindsey was recently certified in Keratin Treatment.

Lindsey Rheinholdt

Gary Holloway

Gary has been passionate about hair since he was a young man. He has been a hair stylist in Hampton since 1985 and has worked with Barry since 1988 helping to create the salon as it is today. Gary graduated from the Virginia School of Hair Design where he trained in Pivot Point hairstyling and was first in his class. He specializes in foil highlighting, Matrix coloring and Precision haircutting.

Holly Sherman

Holly graduated from the Virginia School of Hair Design and has worked as a stylist for more than 20 years. She enjoys working with Barry to promote the environment that keeps clients coming back to the salon. She strives to constantly upgrade her talent and skills by attending shows and classes that will allow her to offer her clients the latest in styling and hair care. She especially enjoys coloring, highlighting and is skilled with hair extensions.

Barry Menser

Barry is owner and stylist. He has over 30 years experience as a stylist and more than 20 as a salon owner in Hampton, VA. Barry has assembled a talented and cohesive staff of 10, including five stylists, to serve client needs and address their concerns relating not just to hair styling, but to hair health, as well. Barry strives to stay abreast of the latest trends in styling and hair care. The primary focus for the salon is customer satisfaction. For Barry the many client referrals to his salon are the highest form of flattery.

Carmen Gonzalez

Carmen became a hair stylist in 1989 and has worked for Barry since 1992. Carmen has many hours of continuing education through Matrix, Davidson and others. She enjoys working with a diverse clientele whether they visit her for a new style, color, highlights or simply a consultation on what might work best.

Michele Booth

Michele Booth is new at Barry’s. She is the “Salon Manager”. Michele is personable, with salon experience from working at other salons in Norfolk. Michele is a graduate of Old Dominion University with a BS in Business Administration and a Major in Management. We find her an asset to our salon.

Brittany Kudlock

Brittany Kudlock has been with Barry’s for over 3 years. Brittany is a “Cleansing Tech” and has a talent for making the clients feel very relaxed with her scalp massages and conditioning treatments. Brittany is very helpful on the reception desk when needed.

Jessica Gonzalez Treml

Jessica Gonzalez Treml has been working for Barry’s for 11 years. Jessica is a very talented “Cleansing Tech”. She has learned the art of massage in her shampoos and conditioners. Jessica is also very helpful and friendly at the reception desk.

Karen Hoffman

Karen Hoffman is a very kind and helpful receptionist at Barry’s. Karen has been working with us for over 2 years. Karen adds a very calming and personal touch to our clients.
